OnePlus Nord CE 5G smartphone has 90Hz screen refresh rate, which improves the user experience. Also, it comes with Snapdragon 750G as its computing center, so inputs are implemented with virtually no lag. There are two physical buttons on the side, and the pressure point is crisp and leaves a good impression. The overall experience is seamless. Buttons and screen are surprisingly loud and responsive for a 5G smartphone. Oneplus Nord CE 5G
Unlike the OnePlus Nexus 5G, the X20 from the Finnish manufacturer is the cheapest 5G smartphone on the market. The X20 has a lesser processor, a Snapdragon 480, and 6GB of RAM. However, it still offers a 64MP main camera. Lastly, the X20’s display is inferior to the OnePlus’ 6.43-inch 90Hz AMOLED display. The phone has two color options: silver ray and “void blue.”
OnePlus Nord CE 5G is a lightweight device with a plastic chassis. It measures 159.2 x 73.5 x 7.9mm, which is very small. It is fingerprint-resistant and is suitable for everyday use. Oneplus’ AMOLED display is also good for nighttime viewing. AMOLED displays have high contrast, and provide good color accuracy. However, it’s important to note that while the OnePlus Nord CE 5G display has good contrast and color, it still isn’t the most vibrant or vivid.
Another notable feature is the OnePlus Nord CE’s ability to transfer data from Android phones. It supports Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 6 so users can connect wirelessly to other devices. Moreover, the Nord CE offers a dedicated permission manager section for the Android devices. It also supports parallel apps, which is useful for dual-SIM users. And lastly, it comes with an app locker, pocket mode, and quick reply in landscape mode.
Cameras are another area where OnePlus made wise decisions. While the OnePlus 9 has four rear cameras, the Nord CE only has three. That is because the four-camera setup was unnecessary. It was possible to have a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor instead. However, the camera’s resolution is not impressive enough for professional use. Overall, the Nord CE is a solid phone for photography. A good camera will make all the difference in the world.
The camera on the OnePlus Nord CE 5G smartphone is pretty decent. Photos come out punchy and vibrant and are well-exposed. Colors are over-saturated, and the contrast is too high. However, the phone’s dynamic range is respectable. The auto HDR feature ensures that the proper exposure is achieved, and it automatically corrects white balance if it’s not set correctly. There is also a night mode, but it doesn’t do much for low-light situations.
The OnePlus Nord CE 5G will be available in June 2021, and prices will start at PS299 for the 8GB RAM model and PS369 for the 12GB RAM version. This is cheaper than the OnePlus Nord at launch, but there are no official prices for the US or Australia. It’s expected to be priced similarly to the OnePlus Nord when it launches, but the OnePlus brand will probably push for higher prices after the Nord’s release.
